Lifelong effects of a poor diet

According to a recent study in The Lancet, poor diet is the leading risk factor for deaths from lifestyle-related diseases in the world https://bit.ly/2IUlwUP. Research also shows that poor urban consumers have less healthy food choice than richer consumers. Food security is not just about access to food, but about access (and affordability) to safe and nutritious food. The absence of hunger does not mean that there is adequate nutrition for children's development and lack of nutritious food affects people's health status throughout their life.
The Thoughtful Path's sustainable vegetable gardens programme is helping to create healthy food environments to improve health outcomes for the residents of #Munsieville, and give every child the chance to grow up into a healthy, productive adult. Find out more at https://bit.ly/2JCYgLS
