820 million people worldwide still do not have enough to eat

More than 820 million people worldwide still do not have enough to eat, according to a new report from the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization bit.ly/2PDLFHI. The world is not on track to meet most of the Sustainable Development Goal targets linked to hunger, food security and nutrition. #ZeroHunger is not just about eradicating hunger but also about ensuring access to enough safe, nutritious food for everyone. The latest South African General Household Survey (StatsSA 2019) shows that up to 2.2 million households have recently built food gardens at their homes to avert food insecurity - for example, The Thoughtful Path's work enabling people in #Munsieville to create sustainable vegetable gardens to help feed their families.
